His dad is sad because his dads hero died.He looked up to him.His dads hero was like a father figure to him.His dad had no father when he was little.He was an orphin.Thom's dad is opening up to thom.He never opened up to him before.His dad never really talked to him before.They will problay talk more to his son.They will problay open up more.They problay trust each other.They will feel more comftorable around each other.Because they have never had a serious conversation.
We can tell that thom and his dad werent close and they were not open or that they liked to talk to each other. In this conversation his dad is telling him about his origins and why he is the way he is now and why he hates super hero. I think thoms dad will ask him to be his sidekick and will be torn between his dad and his mom and the legue. I do think that they will be more open but not as much because thom will still be scared about his dad and the gay porn on his laptop
Thom's relationship with his father is kinda bad. They didnt talk about his father past or about anything in there lifes. Thom hasn't told his dad that his gay and about the whole computer problem with uberman. But after captian victory died they showed there emotions. The dad was talkiing more about the good times in his life. Dad showed more emotions to thom and that showed thom that his father cares.
there relationship now is pretty good thoms dad didnt say anything about the computer. the interaction is different from past ones because past ones thoms dad doesnt really smile or laugh alot. i think that in the future they will have more conversations like that.
Thom's relationship with his father so far into the book has not been so good. Thom dosn't even really talk to his dad alot. Now in the book Thom is talking to his father more because of something that happened (Captain Victory's death.) Thom's realation ship with his father has improved. Since Captain Victory's death Thom's father has been acting more like Thom father and has opened up to him. Thom's confidence now to speak to his father because now Thom's father has opened up and explined more about the past. Thom's point of view about his father has changed because of what Thom's father has told him about Captain Victory. From past to present this interaction has changed because Thom almost came out the closet and told his father about him being gay. Thom's father came out the closet about what happened and why he is crying and why he is crying about Captain Victory. I think Thom will get a chance to talk to his father about being gay and about his powers but, it will not happen untill Thom understands completely why Thom's mother ran away, And why

From the pages that we have read today in class, we can see that Thom's father is finally opening up to him. It may have taken a tragedy, like the death of Captain Victory, for Thom's dad to be more open with his emotions, but it is nice to the change. We can infer that Thom and his father do not communicate very well, or very often for that matter. We know this because we know that Thom is uncomfortable and insecure about telling his father that he is gay. He is extremely nervous that his father will find the picture of Uberman on his computer. Thom's nervousness and desire to want to run away show the interactions between his father and himself are not solid, well-grounded, and comforting. However, it was great to see that in these few pages their relationship seemed to grow a bit. His father explained a lot about his past experiences and this made Thom very happy. I think that because his father finally opened up, Thom seems more at ease to talk with his dad, although not completely. I am hoping that for Thom's sake, they will be more open with each other. Thom has a lot to get off of his chest and you can tell that his character is very stressed. I feel as though Thom will try to be more open in the future, but I'm not so sure about his father. His father seems to internalize a lot of things, or brush things off. He seems very introverted... maybe that is why Thom is that way too?
Well Thom and his dad relationship now is well because now Thom dad is telling Thom past life of when he was hero and now Thom is learning more about his dad and even though Thom dad iiass bias against super powers.
Thom's relationship with his father now is that they opening up to eachother. Thom's father is opening up to Thom and telling Thom how he feels.I do think there relationship will change but not as much as it could of.Thom's dad is telliing thom about his days and life of a superhero and thom feel why couldnt he tell me this before. I do think will have more open relationship with eachother.
This discussion between both of them was very open and oral. This relationship was better because it was much more longer and the conversation was very meaningful unlike the other conversations they've had. I think this conversation will make their relationship better and more understanding. Maybe because they are sharing much more. I don't think Thom will tell his dad he is gay because his dad might leave him because he doesn't like him.
